Hey everybody! We're planning to get together this Sunday at 12:15 at Marshall's for Lunch. Yeah I know it's not Pho Asian Noodle but I'm sure it'll be just as good!
New people are especially welcome to join us!
Hope to see you there!

Yeah, I agree about the group format on Sunday. It's so simple to do something interactive with the teachings. I feel rescued from all those years of an ineffective pedagogy. I made some suggestions for Wednesday night's group on the events page. You guys will have to wrestle with Jake about that though!
Thanks for the note, Andrew. I enjoyed meeting you as well. I'm afraid that I'm either out-of-town or otherwise scheduled for the next few weekends. Hopefully I'll join you guys again later this spring.
I've never really meditated, and I probably didn't do the best job meditating Sunday, but I did enjoy it. I'll be going more often, though, and I'm sure I'll get better at it.
It was good, I really enjoyed the group. I still need to work on meditation, but don't we all. **I also have to get my butt on the ning site more too! :)
Hi Andrew. I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed lunch today. It was really a great idea to start meeting regularly. It' gives us the chance to talk about things outside of the formal group environment and helps us be more relaxed when we are together. It's about building sangha or building dharma friendships. And it's important for our ability to grow in our understanding of the buddhadharma and how it applies to our particular lives.
As for the time on Sundays, I find that there's usually a lot of flexibility in people's meal times on Sundays. Lunch at 1 might be normal to people and an early dinner after 4 might serve well too. Your idea about posting it to the group is a good one. Or we could simply talk about it next Sunday.
I wonder if it might seem more special if we meet every other week? It may grow too much after a while or people might really find it's helpful to meet consistently.
Andrew! Delta flies to the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. I know there's a low cost airline that flies from country to country. We may be able to plan an incredible trip!
