A gaucho is an Argentine cowboy. I somehow picture their hats as smaller than the average cowboy hats. Of course, Mexican sombreros are the largest. This might be because the Copper Canyon (in Mexico) is 4 times the size of the Grand Canyon. You'll see a couple of Copper Canyon pics on my site, including of the train that crawls through it.
